Meet Nickolas Fransen, L.Ac
Hi there!
I’m Nickolas Fransen, a licensed acupuncturist, natural therapies advocate, and proud founder of Privia Naturals. But before I get into all the professional details, let me share a little about how I got here. Spoiler alert: it’s been a winding road full of discoveries and dedication.
My journey into natural therapies began on a very personal note. When my son was diagnosed with autism, I found myself searching for ways to support him beyond conventional approaches. That search ignited a passion for natural healing, one that has fueled my work ever since.
In 2009, I had the privilege of joining Biomed International, representing the Pleo Sanum and Rubimed product lines. That role wasn’t just a job – it was a crash course in cutting-edge natural therapies. I spent countless hours learning from incredible mentors, including the brilliant Dr. Reimar Banis. From conferences to trainings, I was practically Dr. Banis’ shadow (I like to think I was the Robin to his Batman).
By 2011, I decided it was time to take my passion even further and enrolled in acupuncture school. Balancing school, work, and family life was no easy feat, but let’s just say coffee and sheer determination became my best friends.

Fast forward to 2023, after years of staying in touch with Dr. Banis and watching the natural therapies field evolve, I took a leap and launched Privia Naturals. As the North American distributor for Rubimed, my goal is simple: to bring effective, heart-centered healing solutions to more practitioners and their patients.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with my family, experimenting with new ways to simplify complex health concepts, or attempting to keep my houseplants alive (jury’s still out on that one).
